Violet eyes watch him paint as they have become accustomed to doing of late.
Since the night in his room where she didn't get caught, she had sent him
no dreams, again, giving him some space to relax. He was the first she had
been so gentle with, and it seemed to help.

Today he was painting in the glade he always painted in, but the picture
that began to sparkle into view confused her muchly. As the sun glittered
off his golden hair, she watches the image appear. One of a woman, but she
was sleeping...no, dying. And there she lie, within the circle of the
painters arms. A pale hand slides off the branch to clutch at Dusk's chest.
Oh, was it real? Had this happened? The woman with fall leave colored hair
watches as her painter begins to cry, watches the emotion flow across his
face.

> Standing suddenly, he lurches forward, and with a wracking sob, he grabs
>the easel and the painting, throwing them as far away into the woods that
>he could, out of sight. Taking a deep breath, he turns his back toward
>the now discarded painting, leaving it there. Leaving everything there.
>The paints, the brushes, his pack.. all left where they lay in the
>glade. Reaching up, he swipes a hand over his face, removing the tears
>from his cheeks and eyes, and then tucks both hands into his pockets,
>fingers curling in toward his palm, nails cutting half moon shaped divots
>into his skin. And like that, he walked back to the inn.

Dusk wanted to call out to him, to make some feeble attempt at comfort.
Though, she was lame in that department. Pondering for a second she pauses,
then hops down. The painting itself she tucks within a hole in a large tree,
she would come back for that later. Thinking on her feet, she grabs a brush
and takes off through the woods, hoping to cut him off.

Rounding a slight bend she seems him heading for the inn, and the dark lady
of silence steps out from behind a tree. His paint brush on her right palm,
as if offered.
