Hi Dragora,

I was installing Dragora in qemu/virtual machine
in order to get to know it.

It took ages, in the 5th attempt, it was my last one I tried,
I managed.

In the manual there are no hints how to install it.

Looking on the web I found somebody who installed it and gave some hints
including an old video of a former version of Dragora.

I am not used to working only on the command-line

I had to learn to use parted, fdisk, cfdisk.

I was used to gparted, but that is not available unfortunately.

I am used to working in the GUI mainly and that´s why to install Trisquel is much easier.

I created several partitions in using several boot options
but nothing worked.

Through the one I found on the web he pointed out
to use ext3 instead of ext4.

So I created partitions again in making 2 partitions,
one for linux filesystem with ext3
the other for linux-swap
no separate boot partition.

Interestingly it worked.
So I have Dragora after many hours installed.

Few people will install Dragora if there are so much trouble
to install it.

Trisquel managed to have a simple GUI interface for installing the system which makes it easy, also for people who are not used to working on a terminal/command-line.

Now I have some questions:
1.
Is there a GUI interface for installing packages?

2.
How can I see which packages are available for installing?

3.
Is there only "qi" for installing packages?

4.
If so what are the commands for looking up packages or a package list?

5.
In Trisquel there is "Synaptic" a very good package manager.
Is Synaptic available in Dragora?

6.
Is libreoffice or Emacs available?
What are the command for installing it?
I tried, but didn´t work. That´s why I am asking.

thanks

Gottfried
