1. The TR7 can be used on PSK. However, stability (frequency) may be a problem with some TR7s. If you have the remote VFO, it would be the best choice when working PSK BUT you never know until you try.
2. The Rascal units are good...If you buy the kit. Buy it and build it yourself. It's worth the effort and the quality of your workmanship will probably be better than Buck's. I know from experience and use a Rascal on my TR7.

Hey Jay -
Thanks for the hint about using the rear audio jack for the received audio for PSK operation. I was wondering about that myself, but I didn't feel like removing all the connectors off the back of the rig to look at it (call me lazy....lol).
Also, some folks have warned about frequency drift with the TR-7 and I don't know how I can deal with that other than leave the rig turned on an hour or so before I try PSK.
I have not noticed accessive drift yet when using the rig on CW, but I guess I will just have to see what kind of drift I get with PSK first to see if it is really a problem or not.
Also, I have heard from many of my QRP friends (as well as this list) about the Rascall controller. Sounds like a pretty good deal for under $40.00.
