Hi Pierre: I wouldn't worry about using your TR7 on 30m, 17m, or 12m amateur bands. It will work just fine as it came from Drake. No adjustment of the low-pass filters are necessary. Unless you have reason to suspect the filters have been tampered with, I wouldn't worry.
I might point out that the TR7 was repackaged for commercial and marine service and called the TR77 and TR-4310. These radios were used just about everywhere but the amateur bands. The only difference I know of between these radios and the TR7 was the PTO was replaced with a synthesizer similar (if not identical) to the RV75. Pierre, you have discovered one of the drawbacks to a free and open Internet: Anyone can post any sort of nonsense they want. You did the right thing to ask. 73, Russ WB8ZCC ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pierre Rothenburger" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "AF2C" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "Drakelist" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "Graf Ulrich ICM MP PD ST 2 ULM 1" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: "Konrad Dienel" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, May 03, 2004 3:46 PM Subject: Re: [drakelist] Aux 7 IC's > > It seems to me that we have two seperate questions ongoing here - - and > answers : > > 1° emulating/programming Aux-7 board . 2° Emission out of Ham-bands or > WARC ( though a consequence of 1°). > > For the 1st part I saw indeed on a webpage a diodes programming/soldering > scheme, but I never used it as I have got a Aux-7 board waiting still to be > mounted. > > 2° But the 2nd part from Ulrich , DK4SX, scares me.
