Yes, Al, I'm collecting the suggestions and perhaps in a week we can decide where and when to have a twenty meter Drake Net. Unless of course you'd care to coordinate the new Net without further discussion. If you do, I'll send you a list of people who have expressed interest right away.

This is an opportunity for those who would like to volunteer to moderate to raise their hands.

I'd suggest stations in the Northwest, Southeast and Northeast. The Northeast can help with Europe.

Tom, would you care to toss two ¢ into the pot.

Hi Mark Gilger and the group. I for one would like to try the round table idea on 20 meters on 14.238 at 4 pm Eastern time (2000Z) on Saturday and see how it works out. If we all sit back and do nothing, for sure nothing is going to happen. I will have my radio set to 14.238 this Saturday at 2000Z and see how the band is. If anyone has any other ideas lets hear them. We can always change things if we need to and who knows it might turn out to be good for a lot of the Drake operators. We may need to move up or down from 14.238 depending on usage so listen around.
Al, N7IOH

Seems there is some interest in reviving some type of net on 20 meters.

This doesn't even need to be a net, it could just be an agreed upon time and freq. to meet and have a round table. If there is enough interest, and volunteer's to be net control, then it could develop into an official net. From all the response, it seems the old net expired due to a lack of participation, so there might not be enough to get this thing off the ground anyway. Is it worth a try???

Let me start off by suggesting we set the time and day to Saturday at 4 pm Eastern (2000z) at 14.238 +/- . Since the 40 meter net is on 7.238 at 2000z, that might be easy to remember. Or how about 14.338??

It's been so long since I've been on 20 meters, this freq. might not even be available.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

73's, Mark WB0IQK
