Title: TR7 / R7 CW Operation; frequency spotting

Hello all... I have a question regarding spotting the TR7 to know exactly where you are transmitting in CW mode. The manual states that there is an ~ 800 Hz shift, so that if you tune your unit to hear an 800 Hz CW tone in the upper passband, you will be ~ zero beat. Is there a more accurate way to achieve this, or better yet, is there a way to be able to display the true transmit frequency while in CW?

My setup includes the TR7, an R7, and an RV75, all interconnected so the R7/RV75 is controlling both the Xmit & Rcvr frequencies. I know the RV7 has a Spot function, but are there other ways to achieve this?

btw, I really prefer to listen to CW at around 450 to 500 Hz, so alternately, is there a way to change this offset? (sorry, I haven't researched this yet through the service manual)

Thank you in advance & 73,

Dave - NO3K
