"sebdesn" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterence to the drakelist gang ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Guys, The whole fix was the result of Bill Frost suggesting to make sure the 24v was at the VCO board and then when it was, to check that choke, which was open. That board had never been out of the rig before the problem. It was not out until Bill suggested I check it...When I unsoldered it one lead came loose from the body of the choke, but I don't know if I did it unsoldering it or it was already cracked. There Is also the possibility that when the original damage to the P/s board occurred it took out the choke. I guess when the 24v goes away from the VCO board the display reads 96 MHz....Anyway It was Bills direction that led to the fix...
