I found it a bit hard to explain it, but the way you describe it is exactly what I mean! We are definitely hearing "the other side". Strange that both our TR7's have the same thing, but we will check the -5V and the pindiodes! IF the passband tuning is set correctly, either variable or the five pots up on the power supply board, you should NOT hear the "other side" of zero beat!
