Garey Barrell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterance to the drakelist gang ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Doug -

I have two, one of the PDC-1 from Hi-Res

<http://home.att.net/~hi-res/Kits/PDC-1/pdc-1.html>

and another from K4DPK

<http://home.comcast.net/~k4dpk/pep_adapter.htm>

The PDC-1 is a kit, and the DPK is wired. Each one is $30 delivered. Looking at the boards, the layout is almost identical, which leads me to believe that the design is probably from a manufacturer's application note. I have the PDC in a Bird 43, and the DPK is in a W-4. Both work just fine.

The IC is a low-power, dual op-amp designed to operate from a single power supply, and the circuit is a simple "peak-hold" amplifier.

Is there a modification to create a Peak reading meter out of the W-4?
