I recently fire up my R-4 (#1904) and T-4XB (#17148B) after being in storage
for about 17 years. After cleaning the switch contacts and tube sockets, I was
surprised how well both units came up. The rcvr is just about as hot as my 746
Pro and the xmitter puts out 130 w with excellent audio.
The only problem is that when using either the xmit or the rcv vfo for
transceiving, my xmit signal is about 250 Hz low. I have performed the
"transceive alignment" in the T-4XB manual several times to no avail.
Does anyone have any ideas on how cure this problem?
