Actually, that was my fault for not mentioning it. No, a T-4X. I get so engrossed with what I'm working on that it sometimes blinds me.

So far, no problems. It was the simplest way to disable the mic element without degrading the very small signal. The mic in this instance is a D-104 with a carbon element.

Steve Wedge, W1ES/4

The D-104 has either a Rochelle salt crystal element or a ceramic element. They work the same but the crystal has higher output.
