Scratch that, a later version of the data sheet does show an electrolytic cap
in series, but no value is given. I would say that is is not necessary if you
don't have any DC on your mic line. A small value electrolytic should work,
somewhere between 10 and 47 uF probably. If you really want to know, I could
dig out my 444D later and see if it has the cap.
