I was wondering if the R-4A changed dial scales at some point. The one I
have now is calibrated in small divisions. (it might be 5 kHz, but I'm
not sure and not near the receiver). Anyway, I recently purchased
another one in better condition to replace it. That one only has
calibration marks every 25 kHz like my T-4X. Most of the R-4B's I see
are only calibrated every 25 kHz, but the R-4A's I see online seem to
vary between the two types of dial scales. Could it be that at some
point, they started manufacturing the R-4A with a different dial scale
at some point? If so, which came first? Just wondering.
By the way, I might have an R-4A and an MS-4 for sale in the near
future. The receiver is in nice shape and works very nicely. Just some
tarnish spots on the chassis. Otherwise, looks and performs great.
