Hi Caspar, if I'd do that, it would require that you put the command grep in the sudoers file and for example "grep . file" would let you to see content of any file. I think better solution is to change the permissions of /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog in your case so that the user can read it. Rasto -- Dipl.-Ing.
