A devotee, 'McMirdell', called, troubled by this nightmare:
I was in this room, and outside a window was a large (like Eagle)
charcoal-grey bird. It was just hovering, hovering. Then it stared
and glared at me. I was troubled by it and said,
'Get the f__k out of here!'
The bird got even angrier, and with its beak, broke through the glass
of the window. I was scared and ran, but it was right behind me, and
as I ran into another room and slammed the door, it almost got in.
Then the bird broke right through the door!
I was so scared, and fell to my knees, saying,
'I worship you! I'm sorry!'
The bird did not attack as I feared it would have.
Meanwhile, there were two other things going on. I bunch of my
friends from the group (a gay therapy group) came over and said we wer
having a party. Would I be there?
Then my parents returned and they were wierd. They seemed to be into
the occult and wanted me to have sex with them, and they were going to
have a party. I see people gathering for that.
Now back to the bird. I took a splinter from the door that the bird
had broken through, and pierced the bird through with it, and the bird
dissappeared or dissolved.
End of Dream
Meaning:
This is what I told my devotee:
This is a dream about your conflicts between three different
directions. On the one hand, you have your gay group, who want to
fellowship with you.
On the other hand, you have your parents, who want you to be close or
intimate with them. Sex here is not physical sex but intimacy. But
you now realize that what your parents have done to you in raising you
up has not been good for you, so you see them as 'occult' or unsavory.
The third element here is the bird. In the end, because of the other
two problems, you give the shaft or the 'short end of the stick' to
the bird. You pierce the bird, which is the animal of Vision or
Contemplation, looking at you. That bird is me, GuruRasa.
The reason I am glaring at you is because I am judging you for
distancing yourself from the Church, turning your back on it for other
interests. You cannot escape me or my 'stare' because in the
devotee/Guru relationship, we are 'One.' You try to escape my
presence, but you can't. The only way you finally erase me from your
mind is by betrayal, or piercing me with the sliver from the door.
This is similar to piercing Jesus' with our sins. This is betrayal.
Further comments: This disciple or devotee errs on the side of
weakness. Many are like that, as when they come to a Guru they are
broken, needy and therefore, weak. They try to leave the Guru
prematurely, fall and fail. The gay group got my son full of hope,
but when things went wrong, he fell apart and wanted to die. He had
distanced himself from me (the betrayal) but quickly came back like a
child to its Mother. I explained to him that he must stay close to
me, as I am his new parent, guiding him to new life.
