Subject: Disturbing dream

Last night I had a dream that I was someone else other than myself. I
was a female about 20 years old. I was in a city, not a nice
neighborhood. There was a lot of concrete around, bridge w/concrete
abuttments, sidewalk. I am walking up a side street with a slight
incline towards a main downtown area. It is almost dark and I feel
apprehensive. I try to look confident as I walk so maybe nobody will
bother me. I see a man in a black trench, he is in his mid twenties and
I feel like he is scoping me out. Not because he is attracted to me
though. I am unsure of his intent. I start to feel like he is crowding
me and I see to my left there is a grassy area behind a building and
there is a woman back there. I head that way because I am alone with
him otherwise (in real life I would never be this dumb). As I head into
this area, I realize I have walked in on some kind of drug deal. The
man takes a gun out and says "You didn't see anything right? So I don't
have to stop you." I start running through the grass and end up in a
garden/park of some kind. I feel like I can't run fast enough. I keep
trying to run faster but my legs feel weak and I decide to try to weave
in and out of paths to try to lose him since I can't beat him with
speed. I didn't see him again, but I knew he was back there. The dream
then changes to me working at a clothing store and I discover clues that
there is some kind of coverup going on about a missing child. There is
a stuffed animal that belonged to the child in the office of the store.
The same man that was after me comes in and it turns out he is in charge
of the store (owner/mgr?) and when he sees me he tells the other girls
that work there to stop me. I run out into the mall and try to get lost
in the crowd. Then the dream ended.

Any ideas?
