Yes, you are Yep strong indeed. :) I'm also having troubles but nothing this serious. For the most Radeon is working just fine with 2D in my machine (better than in windows where it just gives some protection fault right in the boot and just won't work which is major :( for me) 3D is problematic but it seems to work at least basics of it.
