As i know, Imagination Technologies the Chip-developer of the Kyro 2 chip (
Kyro 1 and Power VR series 1-3) is working on a XFree4 driver for Linux.

It should come out in the near future.
The driver is probably a closed source driver, but that's not
definatly shure.

I would suggest to wait.

It is not 100 % shure that we will ever see that driver,
so i think waiting until you can officially download
such a driver from their website is better than
buying the card and hoping for a driver.

I do the same in the moment.
I am looking in the kyro 2 to buy that card.
But i wait until the linux driver is out.

Perhaps the driver could also take a little longer or
the next chip the Kyro 3 (the one that will have a T&L unit !)
is out when the linux driver is out.

It is said that the Kyro 3 should come in 3. Quart. 2001.
So it's not a bad idea to just wait.

Best Regards
 Oliver C.
