I'm about to reinstall things, and I'm not sure which set of
X sources I should use. Afaics, there are now _3_ seperate
XFree86 CVS repositories: XFree's, dri.sourceforge.net, and
gatos.sourceforge.net.

I'm hoping, with this post, that I can get a response
sufficient to help me choose my tradeoffs to get current,
fast, stable 3d support, and working + stable ati xv and
video-in support (Radeon 64MB w/vivo).

I recall last time I installed, that I installed X from the
DRI repository, then applied some patches from the gatos
pages (at the time on linuxvideo.org).

1) when (tag + date) were these three repositories last
syncronized?

2) which, if any, has or has planned for the near future
merges back into another?

3) what is the roadmap/policy for future merges?

In short, when and where can I get the latest and greatest
stable from all three worlds from just one place, and where
should I look/who should I ask to find updated info on the
differences between these three trees?

As a side note, are there any plans for these three sub-projects
to ever just share the same repository? (I would think that
that could greatly simplify some things--it would certainly make
it easier for other users like myself to know where to get stuff.)

p.s. Please respond to the dri list since I'm subscribed there.
