Or does it? If I read it, gain an understanding of the DRI system / infrastructre and use my newfound knowledge to create my own document from scratch that's ok right. Problem is this isnt very abstract, and I'm not going to gain an encyclopeadia type knowledge of the subject matter and create a new original / vastly different document, its going to be what it is, an update of the original. Think if I /we bother them nicely they'll let me use their original as a base / template? I have no problem putting: "Orignal by: Precision Insight, Inc., Cedar Park, Texas." or something to that effect but: "Copyright =A9 1998-1999 by Precision Insight, Inc., Cedar Park, Texas. All Rights Reserved.=20 Permission is granted to make and distribute verbatim copies of this document provided the copyright notice and this permission notice are preserved on all copies." is IMHO a bit too much, especially as they dont seem to be doing any maintainance.
