The XVideo fix is in the XFree86 CVS trunk, but not in the mesa-4-0-4 branch
(yet).  I think you can work around it by using <Ctrl><Alt><KP_+> to cycle
through the video modes before trying to run an XVideo client.

Yes, it's already in the 4.3 preview snapshots.  The source can be
checked out from the XFree86 CVS (see <http://www.xfree86.org/cvs/>),
and some binaries are available at:
