It should. If it doesn't, then it's a bug and I'd like to hear about it. :)
Hello, thanks for the info!
Yes, it does work (at least with most applications I tried)
But I was able to get the "Xserver hang but mousepointer moving", when running circuits from xscreensaver 4.08 package. ssh to the machine was possible, but I had to reboot the machine, since killing -KILL the Xserver didnt work/help. Then I tried a second time: same result.
With current trunk and the same radeon.o as before it works well: flying electronic components everywhere you look ;) and I tried a second time, too: flying components... I dont know if it would work with dri-trunk from a few weeks ago, before the "state-change-fixes" were merged.
Any hints?
Radeon 7500, radeon.o from drm-filp-0-1-branch, kernel 2.4.20 (with v4l2-patch) gcc 2.95.3 you can get xscreensaver from http://www.jwz.org/xscreensaver/ tar -xvzf xscreensaver-4.08.tar.gz cd xscreensaver-4.08 ./configure make cd hacks/glx ./circuit
