DRI support for Xinerama has not been implemented, so this is really an
enhancement request so I am changing it to such, and updating the Summary
field.

>are there any plans to fix this limitation?

The DRI project is ran by volunteers which like most volunteers, tend to
work on the things that personally interest them the most. I do not
personally know of any DRI developer who is currently working on this,
however it is indeed possible theoretically that someone might be interested
in doing it, and just might not have the time to devote to it right now.

If you are personally interested deeply in implementing it yourself
perhaps, the project is always looking for new volunteers whom are seeking
to scratch their personal itch and contribute code, and you're welcome to
join the dri-devel mailing list and inquire about how to get started, as
well as joining the #dri-devel meetings on irc.freenode.net on Mondays.

Other parts of DRI are implemented via funding under contract. This is
also an option available for people who want features desperately but
nobody is currently working on them or planning to do so.

If anyone is currently planning on working on this at all, I'm sure they'll
comment about it here so you know where this stands for future roadmaps.

Hope this helps.
