Is there a way to make moving images and textures to video memory faster? Currently I'm using Radeon 9500 Pro and AGP 8x. The speed I get when using ShmPutImage is about 189 MB/s. This is less then 1 / 8 of theoretical AGP 8x performance. Does anyone know why the memory transfer is so slow?
