------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-05-09 06:40 ------- I don't like the idea of the X server loading the agpgart module for various reasons: * it doesn't help if the DRM was already loaded before * it's not sufficient with 2.6 kernels, the chipset specific AGP module must be loaded as well * autoloading it may not be desirable on some systems IMHO making sure that the agpgart module(s) get loaded when necessary is a matter of kernel module configuration. As for drmAvailable(), I don't see how it can work without the DRM being available, but if there is indeed a problem, it should be fixed instead of being worked around elsewhere? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.xfree86.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Dri-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dri-devel
