Anybody knows if there is any way around firewalled IRC port? As this is (hopefully) my last PhD year I've decided to spend most of my time in the university and dropped internet home. I'd like to assist the IRC meetings but unfortunatly my university blocks the IRC port. I once asked IT support to open it up for me, but they close it again. That's why I'm wondering if there is any way to access the freenode.net network in another port before relying on IT support once again. My google searches on this subject have been unsuccessful so far...
