I realize I should have sent this out earlier, but on Thursday I committed a change to the manner that DRM devices are probed. Ideally it won't have any effect on people, but there may have been problems. Basically, the DRM only attaches now when it finds a device ID it knows of. I think the PCI ID lists are complete, but there may be issues. If you have problems with getting the DRM to attach after 2003/10/16, please email me with what hardware you have and the output of scanpci. Note that there was a bug that would prevent probing of devices on 2.5+ linux kernels up until 2003/10/19 (yesterday).
This is a step in the process of making the DRM attach to a specific device. It'll help with the standalone DRI, and also with making the DRM a proper FreeBSD driver. -- Eric Anholt [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://people.freebsd.org/~anholt/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by OSDN developer relations Here's your chance to show off your extensive product knowledge We want to know what you know.
