The most simple way would have been to use the package including Java and 
Java3D, then all path-dependencies are resolved automatically.

J3D can't be put into the program directory, it has to be installed in the 
JRE-directory, elsewhere it wouldn't work.

If you could navigate, the bug seems to be removed. Typically it should crash 
directly after logging in.
