I tried to add dualhead support for this chip a while back, but got no where with docs from S3/VIA. I was able to find out basically how it worked, but I was never able to get it working (I think I wasn't setting the second DAC right). I eventually got databooks for the duoview portion of the virge MX (I was assuming M7 and virge MX were similarly architected), but by then I didn't have the time to mess with it anymore. S3/VIA released the source to a driver for the savage chips, but there was no dualhead support and the 3D portion only supports the savage 4 cores. for the older ones like the M7, you'll need to look in utah-glx. there was a 3D driver there. If you want to start working on dualhead support again, I'd be happy to help out. I can try and explain how it supposed to work, but you may already have a pretty good idea.
