This is great work, just to confirm, I applied the patch & X is now
running without slowing to a crawl when glxgears/glxinfo is run.

When running glxgears, an interesting 'colouring-in' effect of the gears
results when doing a click 'n drag on any window & moving the window
vigorously about.

Everything else worked as you described though I'm not sure why it's
only showing 640x480 for you & Alex.
All resolutions work fine up to 1024x768 on the laptop (MobileSavage
IX/MV).

Still trying to check-out utah-glx cvs & compare, server seems down at
the minute.
