[Dri-devel] savage : strange cursor problems

dri-devel,   i am using the dri tree build (Mesa/xc - no branch) of all drivers (2d and 3d) on xfree86 version 4.3.0. my video card is a 32MB savage 4 pro. X is configured to use the savage drivers.   the problems i am noticing concern the mouse/cursor. at all times the cursor seems to be shimmering. for example when the arrow cursor is displayed, the outline of the arrow looks like its moving/crawling. the second problem is that the cursor sometimes displays a large square (5x the size of the arrow cursor) of random noise. the cursor returns to normal when the mouse is dragged over a different window. this happens maybe once every 10 minutes.   has anyone else seen this? felix said that alex had mentioned something about the problem at one point.   mark
