Yes I know there is currently nothing that works. When that changes, I will gladly test whatever anyone has.
I bought myself a Radeon 9600 SE, thinking it had an R270 chip, but it in fact has an R350 chip. And yes I know I should have checked. It was dirt cheap.
The ATI drivers are surprisingly slow. They only run UT2004 15% faster than the DRI drivers on my Radeon 7200! ( and I have an Athlon 2100XP ). They're also quite unstable. They locked my machine hard this morning, after running xscreensaver for about 45 minutes.
So bring on the R300 developers :) Vladimir, I salute you!
