No, there's also the DDX drivers, XvMC, ... and there could be more in

So you tell me that there are at least three (DRI/DDX/XvMC) libraries
which do basically the same thing?
If, and that's what someone wrote here, the DRM kernel drivers are
'nothing more than a conduit to shove bits into the chip', then these
three userspace libraries duplicate (more or less) the same code.
Or did I understand something wrong?
