When I did some cleaning up of the via drm code I noticed that the memory manager seems identical to the SiS one, so if there is a problem with that, then there is a problem with the via driver. Also the unichrome 2d driver allows XvMC dri clients to map (RW) the framebuffer and the whole register space, and I know that at certain video register write combinations will lock my machine hard. From my point of view, however, this is a deficiency in the unichrome 2d driver rather than in the via drm driver. /Thomas ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by Shop4tech.com-Lowest price on Blank Media 100pk Sonic DVD-R 4x for only $29 -100pk Sonic DVD+R for only $33 Save 50% off Retail on Ink & Toner - Free Shipping and Free Gift. http://www.shop4tech.com/z/Inkjet_Cartridges/9_108_r285 -- _______________________________________________ Dri-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dri-devel
