Using glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_FOO, GL_TEXTURE_MAX_ANISOTROPY_EXT, number), where number can be any valid setting including 1, causes the r200 driver on 8500/9100 type hardware to lock up after a minute or two. (Bad state changes?)
