I've talked to Eric and it isn't really clean, he wants to come up with a
better way .. we may need to add another DRM macro... personally I'd like
to try and keep the BSD code going in the same direction as the Linux
codebase, so perhaps some changes along the same lines made to the linux
core could be made, but  I've no idea about 32/64 or vm on BSD...
