This is exactly the kind of crap I see here too on the G5, so that irons out a 32 vs 64 bits issue. The strangest thing is that paulus is currently running a version of the driver on his G5 that does not have this issue. It's fairly old, it seems to be a checkout of the old r300 branch from April 13 or 14 this year (yah, I told you old :) I don't have time to investigate this for now though.
