The problem is unrelated to udev. With otherwise identical system configuration everything works fine with kernel 2.6.15-rc7. With kernel 2.6.15-mm2 I get the above two lines of error output when inserting the i915 module. In both kernel I have agpgart and chipset support for my chipset compiled into the kernel while drm and i915 are modules (from the kernel source, not from DRM CVS).
