I'm going to close this as INVALID. I tried Süleyman's suggestion of disabling
"
Processor" and "Thermal" and I haven't had a single crash since. Even though I
still don't know what the exact cause was, I think it's safe to say that I was
way off the mark here and my "discoveries" were mere coincidences. Roland, I'm
really really really sorry. You were the innocent victim of my frustration!
