I use fedora and have a strange problem with the kernel. It all
started with the update to the 2.6.26 version.

After "starting udev" nothing happened. I needed to keep at least one
key pressed in order for anything to work. I thought that something in
udev is the problem. But 2.6.25 was fine with it. Then I tried the
2.6.27 kernels in koji.fedoraproject.org. They had the same problem.

I saw that the thing in common between the 2.6.26 and the 2.6.27 is
that Dave Airlie added drm-patches and fixes in the fedora kernels.
With 2.6.27-rc1. everything is fine. But from version 2.6.27-rc2 I
have no display. in 2.6.27-0.284.rc4.git6.fc10 after "starting udev" I
see black and white strips and nothing else. Only hardware restart
works.

I also looked in the dmesg from the 2.6.26 and the 2.7.27-rc1 versions
- everything is fine. Maybe udev is trying to initialize my card and
is encountering an error. passing udevdebug to the kernel print
thousands of messages on the display and some of them read
"........card0......."

I think this is a bug from the kernel mode-setting code. Can someone
take a look at it? As I said with the latest version I have no display
but the kernel loads fine until "starting udev".
