Commit e019ead5d76fd4e6e7d47d23e0284058391e1e29 did not work either. It crashes
X in the exact same way. I will try going further back, as suggested. However,
since the suspicious message is in the kernel log, maybe the drm component
(drm/linux_core) is at fault?
