Maybe because you didn't report it? We can't fix things we don't know about. BTW, the dri-devel list isn't the best place to discuss this; there's a xorg-driver-ati list dedicated to xf86-video-ati discussion, moving there. So, it sounds like XVideo is broken for you using the overlay but works using the textured adaptor. What exactly are the symptoms without this patch? E.g., does the video player application fail/crash, or does the video content just display incorrectly, ...? As with any X server/driver issue, please provide the full xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log files. -- Earthling Michel Dänzer | http://tungstengraphics.com Libre software enthusiast | Debian, X and DRI developer ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ -- _______________________________________________ Dri-devel mailing list Dri-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dri-devel
