Are they flushable?
It seems this *might* do the job:
if (!pfifo->cache_flush(dev))
return;
pfifo->reassign(dev, false);
pfifo->cache_flush(dev);
pfifo->cache_pull(dev, false);


pfifo->cache_pull(dev, true);
pfifo->reassign(dev, true);
