I tried these steps last night: - -loaded drm and radeon as modules - -boot .33-rc5(which went fine) w/ no mode setting - -then rmmod radeon - -then modprobe radeon modeset=1 The second I modprobed radeon the screen went all rainbow colored then faded to black.
