Jacques Nadeau commented on DRILL-19:
-------------------------------------
I'd suggest using embedded schema instead. Seems more fail-fast which is what
I am kind of striving for with this whole hetergenous data disaster. We just
define a standard "embedded schema" message type. The two fields are bytes and
protobufdef. And the repeated is of that message type. Basically "leave for
another day" Decode if you want. I think it makes handling decoding much
simpler, especially if we're not actually interested in the value at this time.
