I'm very interested in this area. Looking into combining Optiq with Spark,
which provides both memory and computation model; also looking into supporting
materialized views in in-memory tables (which are strictly more powerful than a
query cache, because they would store intermediate results and data sets wider
than actually used to evaluate a query).
