I am Shankar. I am currently writing an solaris application which
communicates with the ipmi driver.
The application has two threads, one pats the ipmc watchdog timer every
100ms and the other thread
which generates ipmi events. When the patting is going on, thread 2
generates an event. The ioctl request
issued for the first event gets its response very late after 40-50 minutes.
while the response of subsequent
events take 30-40 seconds. I like to know why icotl to generate event
takes more time
compared to ioctl for WD reset which takes around 150ms to response.
