Hi Michael,
yes, it should be possible to get this happening from
the Installer. If you're SX_DE_ then you would need to
hit <alt><tab> (iirc) to get to the terminal session
and run that update_drv command. (Yes, it's the same
driver btw). If you're using SX_CE_ then you should
just be able to right-click anywhere on the desktop and
fire up Terminal.

My understanding is that once those bugs are integrated,
you won't need to do any of this manual update_drv stuff
at the installer since it should all Just Work(tm).
