Hi all
Is there any progress in terms of USB HID driver for opensolaris yet. I
have read the threads I can find with regards to this issue and as far
as I can see other than it being part of the HID enhancement project
(which is still undergoing) and the ancient wingman attack driver
(http://www.bolthole.com/solaris/drivers/) that does not compile on
opensolaris (and is not available from blastwave in 64 bit).
Actually, our prototype is working with one tablet at hand and some
multimedia keyboards.
I'm debugging more tablet support right now. For joystick and gamepad,
it's not supported directly in our prototype, but we have planned to
provide some low-level interfaces and expose them to userland.
Such devices will be accessible to userland drivers/application through
these interfaces.
Regards,
Tim
I saw a demo last week of the HID enhancement project driver and it seems
to be coming along well - I hope it will be ready to integrate for one of
the 2010 OpenSolaris releases, but the engineers on the USB team would be
better able to speak to how close they are or if they can provide a
prototype for download until then.
