This should be:

        brd->SerialDriver.ttys = kcalloc(brd->maxports, 
sizeof(*brd->SerialDriver.ttys), GFP_KERNEL);

Btw, are you using vim with cscope set up?

make cscope
vim -t kcalloc
Move to the kmalloc_array() call and hit CTRL-]
